about marijuana and the politics behind its prohibition. hello and welcome to another exciting addition to cannabis common sense we havea great show for you this week we have as guests lindsay rinehart has beenworking lobbying down in salem for marijuana reform and working for seriousextracts refugee from idaho who talked a little bit about that right next to heris jason glass me who's the president with scott's a normal so we'll have awide-ranging conversation will be taking your phone calls and over in the wingsis mr john cornett ready to belt out a couple of tunes and then right next tome of course is the unstoppable unflappable mister casper leach we havesome interesting news stories for you

tonight some great videos so stay tunedas we bring on our infamous dancing cannabis leaves alright our first story is from righthere in the beaver state a joint committee of oregon lawmakers spenttuesday afternoon in a meeting pushing forward a bill that would allowrecreational campus tours to sell tax-free medical marijuana card carryingpatients in the state bill sp 1511 reads as follows quote the measure prohibits taxation ofretail sales made to medical registry identification card holders or theirdesignated primary caregiver and

clarifies that the local option salestax does not apply to medical marijuana it expands the early start retail salesto include edibles topicals and extracts i'll be it is daily limits on sales ofedibles and profile carbon dioxide vaporizer cartridges containingmarijuana extract exempts producers from canopy limits under specified conditionsand provides that limits on mature marijuana plant does not apply in tillapril 1st 2016 are to a person who has applied for an olcc license in thesenate easily passed the bill with a vote of eighteen to 10 the bill now goesbefore the house for their consideration in addition to combining the recreationand medical stores the bill would also

allow adults over 21 to purchase sowe'll be talking more about this with lindsay rinehart has been very activedown in salem in this session just after our new segment and john critics inc out of st. louis missouri the prevalenceof problematic cannabis is decreasing according to data published in thejournal the journal of the american medical association psychiatryinvestigators at the washington school of medicine in st. louis missouri assesstrends in marijuana use and in the prevalence of marijuana use disordersduring the years 2000 and 22 2013 the researchers determined thatself-reported use of cannabis by adults

increased an estimated nineteen percentbut that reports of cannabis related problems actually declined during thisperiod the lead researcher of the study said quote we're certainly seeing someincreases in marijuana use but our survey didn't notice any increase inmarijuana related problems certainly some people are having problems so weshould remain vigilant but the sky is not falling in quote separateevaluations of self-reported marijuana use by young people have determined thatthe rates of cannabis use by high school students is significantly lower todaythan it was fifteen years ago the study's findings contradict those awidely publicized 2015 paper which

allege that the use of marijuana haddoubled over the past decade and then an estimated one-third of those who consumecannabis did so problematically this study recent trends in the prevalence ofmarijuana use and associated disorders in the united states appears in thejournal of the american medical association psychiatry this month on theother side of the country in vermont houma bernie sanders the final vote ofmeasure occurred on thursday in the vermont senate for a bill that wouldlegalize marijuana for adult use in vermont the bill senate bill 241 nowgoes before the vermont house of representatives who begin working on itnext week we applaud the senate for

advancing this important legislationlike most vermonters most members of the senate recognize that prohibition is afailed policy they voted to regulate marijuana because it will make ourcommunity safer we're confident that for my house members who take an objectivelook at the evidence will arrive at the same conclusion is her colleaguesmarijuana's objectively less harmful than alcohol to the consumer and to society we should be regulatingand controlling it not forcing it into the underground market as we have donehere in the northwest and colorado this bill would make possession of up to anounce of marijuana legal in the state of

vermont for those over the age of 21marijuana cultivation sites retail stores and testing facilities would betightly regulated it would not be allowed would not allow home growncannabis or edibles according to a poll released by the vermont public radio onmonday 55% of vermont citizens support marijuana legalization for adult use anational story the former united states attorney general eric holder and fantasyfriend of caspar leach who once had the power to unilaterally begin the processof rescheduling marijuana but didn't use it now said he agrees that canada shouldbe reclassified under federal law eric holder said quote i certainly thinkit ought to be rescheduled

he said in an interview on pbs he wenton said quote you know we treat marijuana the same way we treat heroinnow and that clearly is not appropriate in quote it's nice to have holdersupport for the sensible policy change but it would have been better if youexercise the power to get marijuana rescheduling done while he was still inoffice we hold that holder and president obama are good friends so i hope theformer attorney general encourages his former boss and his successor lorettalynch has usa attorney general to follow through during these final months of theobama administration and get the job done there's absolutely no reasonmarijuana should be in schedule 1 and it

would be absurd to keep passing the buckcongress when federal law clearly gives the administration the power to actholder said in court because he spoke with me that he had a change of mind that we know inutah voting on medical marijuana bill s b 73 the utah senate voted 17 to 12 onthursday yesterday afternoon approving a bill that would allow patients withspecifically this is to use marijuana edibles extracts and oils proposed byutah senator mark matson the bill clearly defines cannabis he said in adchildproofing standards dosing guidelines and other regulations willnow must go before the united the utah

house for a vote supporters of the bill expect oppositionin the utah house believe there's positive vote could help rally the 38votes needed to get the bill passed in the utah house of representative madisonwater down the bill after opposition from the senate and the church of jesuschrist of latter-day saints the mormons another competing bills passed earlierthis week in the senate and in eighteen 28 vote 89 much more narrow bill wouldallow for a cannabis extracts to treat certain medical conditions both billsnow go to the house for consideration in jerusalem the daily long-term use ofcannabis is associated with improve

or sect prospective open-label studyappears in the clinical journal of pain final story tonight is from north of theborder canadian federal court judge on wednesday struck down regulationsrestricting the rights of medical marijuana patients to grow their owncannabis till now medical patients in cannabis in canadahad to buy their cannabis only from dispensaries that were growncommercially this judge gave the liberal government six months to come up withnew rules judge michael feldman ruled in vancouver that marijuana for medicalpurposes regulations were an infringement on the charter of civilrights declare that they have no force

and effect the judge suspended itsdeclaration for six months to give the federal government time to come up withnew rules for medical marijuana that's the end of our new segment for tonight standing by in the wings yet rated placemusic audience and i we do have a studio audience we are many tonight welcome the show reinhardt casper good to see over therejason its you have a senior since the great midwest marijuana harvest fest soit's great that you're here made the last part of madison wisconsina two-part from lindsey you've been

lobbying our state legislature and it'sbeen pretty great thing that you've been down there you wanna tell us about thebills that are before the legislature and what you think our viewers should doright now in terms of making sure the legislature enacts the right losscurrently all of the laws are drafted in being voted on by the house and thesenate mostly the house now believe at this point really they just need to hear from us asregularly as possible on the issues that are concerning us and that kind of goesfor any issue really that being said you know you talked about as be 1511 yeah sothat offer the early souls of low-dose

extracts non psychoactive topicals andactually they had mended that the bill to allow all extracts to be included inearly sales and the senate passed that to your house today so that is now goingto the governor's desk 4444 teen was the first one that they passed out of thecommittee that's already gone it's already awaiting the governor'ssignature what will for double that when do that one was hurt me it's been a longday that one was for the i'm sorry it's just it's escaping meright before we come back to that one so 1511 was the early so that also aboutthe programs to combined together so one person can opt into one program and oneperson can often to another so you can

have a dual use markets opting in ontheir licensing for medical to provide medical and you can have the medicalopting in to provide adult use cannabis as well that was a really need bill 15971598 was the one that was passed out of committee on tuesday along with sootsenate bill 1601 which 1598 was for a land use compatibilitymostly and so it allows my crew canopies to be developed for the medical growersthat where are facing patient cuts from from the plant limits that were enactedlast session from housefull 3400 this allows those patients to keep theirgrowers surely if that growers williams opposite into the olcc with my girlcanopy then they can have as many

patients as they would like to help withpersonal agreements from the oha so it's a different kind of system but it justcame out of committee now yes that came out of committee on tuesday what's thatbill number that when us senate bill 1598 1599 seems really important iforgot i've been taking care about a hundred fifty patients probably forty ofthem out of state but still ninety that are in state and so under the currentrules as passed by what was the house bill 3400 last year i was gonna have toget rid of almost 200 patients under this there'd be an option of the olcclicensing that right you could often it would provide by that statute fivethousand-square-foot canopy or twelve

hundred and fifty square foot canopycover those medical growth would like to opt into the olcc market that would alsoallow them to sell into both medical and recreational excuse me so either way onthat when it can go either way it also allows the use of cannabis providers toprovide that the patients it so that bill number was senate billand then 1600 1601 was to basically there was in 4014 there was helpful 4014there was an allowance for a patient to not have to pay taxes if they used in adual use dispensaries so the dispensaries that are over the age of 21they would not have to pay taxes if they utilize those dispensaries andfortunately it was also and fortunately

it was declared an emergency but underthe constitution you can't declare tax lawyer emergencies so they created 1601to allow that to happen so under senate bill 1601 patients do not pay taxes atall used to swim series also in 4014 to answer your previous question the rightto use your green slip from your certified mail after you ship earlierthat is no valid to ensure dispensary and so we've got to wait for the ruleson that but that's that's really good news people from going without saveaccess and also that way j will now be required by rule to provide a receiptfor those things alright great i know they close their window at their officehere write a couple people in the camp

those and those were very useful forpatients but it did away with that they raise the fees and did away with that acouple years ago unfortunately by rule the oha as the site of trees grower feesto $200 per patient those under proposed rules and everybody offered testimony onthose rules and january israel's have not become final and i anticipate thoserules to change when the next sessions rules we will just completely changethem so it will be interesting to see how the rules developed there was alsoanother break for patients that came pardon me for not remembering which willit was but that allowed all veterans to be given their card for $20 instead ofjust that i'm disabled it to jaspers of

it very well that's good so that one isjust proposed colors that were not already done so decides to give the governor's signaturesome of them still need a third readings so 1599 1600 once only the third readingfrom the house i anticipate those to be very soon and then you know as soon asthe governor signs 1601 first because that was the tax law that you couldn'tdeclare an emergency and then she'll presumably sign 40 1415 11 and 15onshore all these bills good as far as you're you're reading are there any ofthem that have negative implications i think that this session was a hugeimprovement over last session i think

that there's always going to besomething and some bills that people disagree with i know that for thegrowers you know there was a huge concern over the land use compatibilitystatements that took a lot of testimony on that and they also removed thatnecessary for the people opting into the olcc so that was really a big win for uspersonally i had a little bit of heartbreak won an amendment to tell theoag that they could not limited patience dosage was not voted through that was onsenate bill 1598 we had an amendment saying they could not limited patiencethose those are all because they've been trying to through the rules advisorycommittee and we had another amendment

that set the limits very very reason tobelieve high for it to accommodate patients do neither of those were takenhowever the oha i think got the message pretty clearly from the committee thatthey weren't trying to render patients and so the oha then redrafted theirproposed limits and so will expect to see those be much higher when they comeback with the new rules so for organ viewers we should tell them to contacttheir state legislature legislators and urge them to pass all of these thesebills that we absolutely i feel that it's already going very well most ofthese remember passing out of the house with the drastic majority about fortysix to 10 ish

in the senate it's usually about twentyto ten you know roughly majority it is a great majority we've had a lot ofsuccess with this session in the committee definitely seems like they'rebeing very receptive to the things that they're hearing from our community so ifound that pretty reassuring i want to thank you for doing all the work you'vebeen doing down there and prince is coming to our lobby day going down thereeveryday almost i think to work on these things so thank you show too we'll be talking with you alittle bit more about those in a moment but we've got standing by over on theside here jason glaspie who you're here

you renewed your oregon medicalmarijuana permit i did just under the deadline is coming up on tuesday for yaso if you don't renew it now you wouldn't be able to renew it because ofthe new restrictions that we have been able to do anything to change that andwe're working on it the oha clarified and other wisconsin i lose a friend ofours been on the show several times around to legislators last week to allowthe state about his date patients so what we needed was clarification sayingthat your card was going to be good past march first because there was concernthat it would not be they did clarified on tuesday that it will be good throughits expiration dates that was a great we

did ask for an amendment to allowout-of-state patients and we were not given that a min meant that being said i proposed to theentire committee that we put a box on the on the form from the oha saying thatan organ donation that's out of state patient understands that there may needto be kept in organ because of the affirmative defense that offers you inyour state valuable card is for you and our viewersabout that defense that patients if they have an organ rate basically if you haveorgan is the only state that allows for at least until at least until tuesdayafter reciprocity for if you're covered

in oregon if you're covered in organthen you'll end up being covered in your home state because of the way ourconstitution is written we will accept other ppl recommendations and organ isthe only thing that makes recommendations for out of state bailoutupstairs and so it is really been a lifeline for a lot of people lot ofpatience i'm one of them we have i think forty or fifty from wisconsin yeah succeed it was actually pretty it's apretty substantial number is coming here personally i was able to a test thatgoing from the state that inflicted scott walker up on the world it'sinteresting to be in a utopia for

marijuana seems like you to compare torats yes i mean it and the economy of that mean we we've been fightingannually with our legislators and governors and we even get up to thegovernor and depending upon who setting anything been trying to we've tried torevenues of going to medical trying to reach you know decriminalize it tryingto reduce fines and really what we can do the only thing you can do is go cityby city district by district and have them vote on referenda to make itbinding in their their city and hopefully have enough cities toeventually tip majority in the state and its a

a very backwards way of doing it and ittakes forever it's very suspicion you're rolling up until time but that's what wehave medical marijuana laws where san francisco's municipal law right beforeprop 215 pass right and that is a pathway to success and that's the backdoor the revenue take in israel it seems it really does seem ludicrous coming toa state that everything is both medical and recreational to have this uphillbattle in our home state where we have the country's longstanding harvestfestival yeah and so we yes we celebrate marijuana and you know the theprogressive liberalism of doing what you want with weed on one side but then itnever makes it past people's desks and

that's the hypocrisy for dealing withtalk more about that in just a minute we are taking phone calls tonight if youhave a question or comment about marijuana for medical marijuana andindustrial hemp you can call us at 503 288 4442 thats 503 280 4442 we've had acouple caller standing by welcome the show caller hello hellowindy your facebook then bruce i just wanted to tell you thank you for allyour work you did down there and it sounds like you the great job becauseit's like i got the groupon and 25% coupon i guess to the medical patientsagain after 34 must do my part to my doctors like 9 1953 my birthday was nine12:53 and sign the paperwork for the day

and i gotta buy one day i didn't have toget other exam but they are then she was busy and i'll see you tomorrow at theinner streaming video online and watching ontv came off a little bit big thanks to allof you for all your work done on you have to have patience and i wanna losethe for being such a good facebook friend and i i've seen so many peoplebefore when i used to work as a human collective for three years so i'mlooking forward to meeting you lindsay and i'm have to go get it looks like i'mhave to go go to the village something to rustle up into care think we've gotanother caller standing by welcome the

show caller you need to meet you that are not taking the catch the newpeople that banks will not there are a few banks that will but most banks willnot lie which will that's what everyone wants to go there they have what they'recalled green accounts so i miss united credit union which is a division andother one is the marion and polk school credit union or maps credit union and sothey will accept what they called green accounts as well do you know of anyothers lindsay i think there's one in lake view washington as well but yeahthere's one called timber land bank up in washington which is based in hoquiamwashington on the coast in grays harbor

but it has branches throughout the pugetsound area it's got about twenty eight branches and thats timber land bank sothose who makes my head is interested in there's others in the city that areinterested in trying to get up by citibank and that would be perfect to start inthe least if it's the media me i think would think that these people reallyneed a place to safe place to put their money has a fine start taking it in theperfect reason why the state should do you see the logic in there certainly infact i advocated in the last election cycle in a petition that didn't qualifyto set up a state bank so the state bank

just like north dakota would have a bankthat that follow state laws instead of just federal laws and in fact you don'tnorth dakota did not have recession during the great recession because thedoor the bank of north dakota put all of its money into north dakota where you goto any of the big major banks those too big to fail they invest their money intimbuktu to all over the place and so they understate banks they invest in their state so we're hoping someday to get a statewell be widened on the local television program this week that said that he'sworking on it that he acknowledged that anyone know who he's working on it withlocally will air balloon hours also been

working on reforms to the federalbanking law there's a lady named ellen brown has written a number of books beena guest on casper leeches radio network who's written books and advocated forthe set the establishment of more state banks and so that's how it first cameupon it was through a guest on casper leeches radio network brown dot com with her but we have adebt excellent treatise on what he is all about him he's got several bookscreated the beginning of the century yeah i think we all have figured out iteasy way created site bank will now and because i am a group of those dancesaround public makes you focus on your

email list that there's an immediateneed and if others do all so you know i'd like to meet up with them i have aveto on the website speed up no upside from yahoo and its cold what issocialism so i just because you know thank you thank his the open the socialcap morgan but that was in control room nothing to suggest that all because mostpeople are in talks for social the show not one or the other side you know we'd like to just make it workfor everybody a little better and it's not getting rid of capitalism you know alright thanks for calling in and andeducating our audience on that topic

there you know a couple of banks thatwill accept green accounts now and i know that over the past couple of yearsi have encouraged you to set up your own bank and you have toyed with the ideaand said i i dont have money necessary to set up my own blank because the wrongguy different hurdles to jump through thedifferent federal as if i could be a difficult group of people tell me ishould buy my own plane too and i don't have money for you know where you couldget the banks have marijuana be the thing that backs the dollar that's inthe bay city federal reserve south a good idea to me but let's talk moreabout we do have another caller standing

by welcome to the show caller olivia goodhurry so i had a question how do you increase the levels of delta nine hugesee that is in cannabis plants to another site considered to be one of themost medical a lot of different stages in the production oftetrahydrocannabinol delta nye party she tell tonight there are severalprecursors to it 224 and others and so one of the ways toincrease it is the decarboxylation which strips the carbon dioxide molecule offof it through a slight heating process and so can also be done chemically withalcohol and other things but that's the

way to take lower forms of thc and havebecome delta nine and were psycho act we have another car welcome the showcaller oh i'm sorry we just went on a more callers hear ya well that is in 10goes to the ground out from like he did that public banking information and ofcourse please if there's anyone in portland and interested in helping thetribune work to do to the powers that be here in portland even or slightly tohelp me that i said it destroyed me know it's called what is important texas six years ago and i'm not knowingthat texas july 15 but i'm not going back either said maybe to be a sin'you're stuck with scott walker and the

fight depression yes it was so far aheadyou're you're benefiting under a 70 0 laws right the one that the recognizedmedical marijuana for doctor recommends and so far they haven't even touchedthem they're trying to narrow it down but they're letting it stand it's verydisparate i mean even in the medicine suburbs we have monona which just theother day decided not to reduce all marijuana fines to $1 if you're under 21because they had a panic attack i'm excited to vote against that whereaspittsburgh which had the highest price fines and state recently did go down toa dollar and those are touching madison the state capital

so we really as a left hand not knowingwhat the right hand is doing we can get people on the same page so somebodywants to reach in madison scott to normal what's the best way to do thatactually contact me directly glassman and makes the julius gmail.comand i can hook you up with all the networks lindsay you moved here as a refugee fromher husband's here in the ic was an idaho normal coordinator you wanna tellus about what led to you coming here suffered some persecution i plz determined that my friendly burger madeup just called cannon bigotry and that's

basically the motivation of a provisionis practice and united oh there's a senate concurrent resolution which isnot a binding pieces a temper tantrum that we don't want cannabis and idahoever and i was the chief for sure to legalize medical cannabis in my statefor three and a half years my husband was the director of idaho normal we hadpetitions running almost constantly through idaho plus tools in downtownboise with other activists friends and really gave it probably the best effortthat we possibly could have and the state came in and rated r house withouta warrant or children for 17 days when this was an april of 2013 ok we got ourkids back as quickly as possible

17 days along time to a kid it's a longtime to a parent as well be accidentally long-term child's children back muchdifferent than we you know when we can ya do they have to eat est they dothey've they've had a very healthy positive adjustments and coming dorganyeah they've seen me get off all 22 goals that was on to treat the multiplesclerosis and get my life back and so for the kids and for us as parentsgenerally positive adjustment coming here and leaving the persecution butunfortunately i don't coastal is very persecuted there's a lot of sick peoplethere that really need help and there's currently a petition to legalize medicalcannabis in idaho and decriminalize it

for dole's how do people get in touchwith that initiative if they want to support it and i is new approach idahothey have a website for instance the chief petitioner he's on facebook underwilliam james i would really recommend people to reach out to him idaho definitely needs help i don't havea rolling signature count so often hard time acquiring and most positions alsohave to have huge amounts of funding to pay for an invalid signatures so everysignatures basically given $1 $2 or whatever that's you know decided but andidaho every signatures validated within a few days so under doesn't need to payfor signatures that are invalid

so it's especially urgent sad situationfor idaho because it's only going to cost about $50,000 to get all of thosevalid signatures which sounds like a lot some people but other people that soundsaffordable and and a lot of states where you're gathering signatures that cheapand it's about $400,000 to get on the ballot statutory $50,000 that's that'skind of a bargain for a lot of people to be able to help and you know itdefinitely would help the sick idahoans that that need it the most we have another caller we're gonna goahead take that call welcome to the show caller yes you ok i have somefriends that live in an apartment

building and they have no police or growtheir own players i have a whole bunch of property and i was just wondering isit personal for me to grow their plants property you know i think the law isthat you can only grow for plants per household is that the way you read rightnow so for a recreational adult use grow non-medical grade only grow 4 peraddress however if you have a large piece of property you could set off acreate new addresses by you know taking parcels of that land and creating newaddress their terror in the properties yeah yeah right away i wish i could giveyou better news so i really didn't try that there are some apartments like theone that caspar lives in where they

allow people to grow their own marijuanathere they have her number of years that the one right by reed college it'swimbledon green and wimbledon square they asked me when i moved into theyfound out that i was a professional him activists which is really weird to liveand taxes special ham activists had that i would probably need a departmentfacing the sun so that my plan to get plenty of life that's my friends isproblem they they really don't have any sun exposure and give them to us we're callingtelecaster lead since you there thanks and good luck so i know you hadmentioned a specific video clip about

from the legislature gonna run just acouple minutes of this featuring lloyd presents key will be back with morecollars right after this this video interlude we'll be right backthe dash 20 fours 24 amendment bill 9830 discussion yes 24 is one that actuallywill do is hold the local governments again two points that we've made adecision during the 2015 session specifically what we stated was that wewere not going to have a distance requirement between metal called forcesrecreational sites and that they could be seeded situated side by side of the wanted tothat the only distance requirement was

going to be one thousand feet betweensimilar types rector wreck or met the med and what we do know is that yourtestimony to congress last week there are numerous cities that are actuallyestablished new distances that violation of the intent of what we are put forwardas to our goal to not have a distance between those two different facilitiesthank you for their discussion on the motion to adopt the dash 24 amendmentsinto suitable 59 question i guess i would directly orsenator prisons he did we not do a reasonable cast for time place andmanner that they had to be reasonable care senator really that was myunderstanding and that would give

action to folks who thought they werenot treated reasonably should be any further discussion on the dash 24minutes senator i'm not completely sure what you been appointed but theamendment does it says that we when we were meeting during the 2013 sessionthis committee and then i believe based on the votes we had on each of thefloors basically said that we are going to set a policy that says that arecreational facility meaning retail outlet and a medical dispensary wouldnot have any arbitrary distance requirement between them that they wouldbe able to be seated side by side if you remember that was when we were lookingat potentially leading to maintain the

integrity of the separateness of theprograms ensuring that the medical program was not going to be violated asthe terms of measure 91 said we're not supposed to make changes what i do knowfor a fact is that the city of portland has actually institute based on some ofthe advocates going to them at the local level and basically now they have a onethousand-foot requirement ok how did that vote he was voted against itrequested this video clip was actually for no votes in a row against senatorpresumes keys amendments all of which were beneficial to growers and patientsmany of which was that would be addressed next session so a lot of thoseno votes were given without any real

reason for the no votes to be given timevoting committee they love that name very appropriate so you have the chanceto join their no you cannot so there's senator really has given us some prettygood opposition senator buyer on occasion has given us some oppositionsenator crews on occasion has given us some opposition on the house side ithasn't been as much but i feel like if we could reach out to these members ofthe committee and explain to them what we desire for programs and what we needto keep going the way that we currently operate and see where we can find middleground will be especially beneficial and when i see a senator that advocates hardfor the omp get voted down repeatedly

that shows me that we need to contactthe members of the committee that voted no and ask them to support theamendments for the omen p from any senator or representative on thatcommittee the main message we need to get across to our viewers especiallyones here in oregon said we need to contact those representatives and yourown representative in the legislature in salem and urge them to support thesepills and to help medical marijuana patients so your job is there please dothat i would like to interlude though that senators that i said you know giveopposition have also given great support and i i do want to say that this sessionthere was a lot of growth on this

committee so i filled it when we calledthem if we respect ya you know that means that if you feel that yoursomeone that shouldn't call please write you know there's a lot of differentmethods of communication and they do need to hear from us very much right nowi really appreciate the fact that you've been going down there in doing that i'veoregon is amazingly open to citizen lobbying probably more so than manyother areas and i went down and i just seen them change laws based on testimonyright in front of you fact i took a job as an aid to statesenator during her first campaign back in 97 to try to stop the re-criminalisation of marijuana i was an

aide to senator kate brown who's now thegovernor and governor kitzhaber actually sign that in the law and we had to getninety thousand signatures to stop it from going into effect in the 98th votebut amazing how effective you can be to do that so we have john's daily by themic from what they say this is a text me ask that you please go to my can ask ifany changes are proposed changes to the number of plants we can grow and howmuch we women p patients can have on hand changes came last year with thirtyhouseful 3400 and those changes are currently going into effect there was astay of plants watered tell me first for

the ninety-six there's grandfatheredgrows and most places are down to forty eight and nine to 12 so just dependsplease look at local ordinances and state law local ordinances can bedifferent the changes that came from this sessionare the ones that allow for those micro canopies and those micro canopies arepretty big deal license with a pc that would yes thatwould be oha growers that are providing medicine for patients to opt into theolcc market so then you wouldn't have a number of plants limited but you'd belimited to at least you said 1250 square 1,250 square feet the canopy

or 5,000 square feet standing on whichhouse bill 1598 and definitely very well and then they go through their samerule-making process they do with household 3400 so then we'll see allthese new rules come out that will affect just these people and we'll seerules come out from each piece of legislation from lcc and from the ohalikely the department of agriculture because cannabis is now form he wasright for him yes actually for medical cannabis so there's a lot going on rightthere are very much encouraged everybody to keep up with the occ website keep upwith oj website because the rules that will come down from the ins there'sgoing to be additional licensing

available and what's called a personalagreement so instead of the patient saying this person is my grower which isso loud they can often with these bigger providers and these canopies and howpersonal agreements where they're both signing up and think that they'reagreeing to these terms and then those people can still provide medicine tothose patients and additional patients as well so it will actually broadens i'maccess especially in the county's medical groser allowed but maybe adispensary isn't she we're down to just four minutes left here let's see you'realso working with serious extracts you want to just give them a plugger tell uswhat you doing with them here for 30

seconds or less their lobbyists and so we were lobbyingfor patients and for extracts you know we went to make sure that we could keepproviding extracts to haitians the way that we currently do there had been somelegislation that said that we could only take our extracts into a dispensary andso we fought really hard and we got an amendment to senate bill 1598 that thecommittee actually liked so much that they adopted so anthony taylor fromcompassionate work in route this beautiful language that said we couldgive oil back to the person that provided the cannabis for extraction ifthey were card holder and then the

second part of that it was for the costof production which is the part that we had so in the cost of production part than the original thing was for free orthe cost of production and so we are able to go ahead and give patients underthe way we currently up so if someone wants to reach you are find out more you have a website we can direct peopleto lindsay to get involved with with what you doing to my email address ok gmail.com and more time green strikeconsulting green strike consulting gmail.com ok jason you want to giveanother plug for wisconsin normal and
